Victoria Wayne Ward, 70, of Powhatan, died July 20, 2012.  She is survived by her partner, Jackie Crewey; children, Brian Ward (Tanya), Monica Lee, Carter Lee, Ryan Ward (Jill), all of Powhatan; Jackie's children, Shannon Kammerman (Scott), Adam Crewey (Laura), Matt Crewey; six grandchildren, Landen, Sydney, Makayla, Logan, Cameron and Destiny; brother, Marty Wayne (Lucy); sister, Betsy Furhman (Jim); special niece and nephew, Linda and TJ Smith; close friends, Carolyn Allen, Dorothy Tribble, Michelle Gordon, Beth and Josh Epstein, Stephanie Ward, Cheryl Purdy and many supportive neighbors and friends.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 to 8 pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan and where a memorial service will be held Monday 11 am.

    As a child I was very lucky to have Ms. Ward in my life to listen, to teach, and to love me.  I will always remember her.

    I would give anything to be there with everyone. I am so sorry for the loss everyone has suffered. She was an amazing Teacher, Mother, Friend, in short, an amazing person.
