Henry James Pfeiffer

Henry J. Pfeiffer, 80, of Cumberland, passed away August 14, 2012.  He is survived by one son, Gregory Pfeiffer (Lili) of Gaitherburg, Md.; close friend, Barbara Rivera of Cumberland; three brothers, Louis Pfeiffer (Dottie), Leroy Pfeiffer (Nancy) both of Cumberland, Edward Pfeiffer (Diane) of Henrico; one sister Lucille P. Senger of Cumberland.  Mr. Pfeiffer was a Korean War Air Force veteran, a retired aviation flight engineer, a member of Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge.  The family will receive friends Thursday (tonight) from 6 to 8pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan.  Graveside services will be held Friday 2pm in the Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cumberland.  Memorial contributions may be made to Center Cemetery Association, 65 Ayers Rd.   We at the fire department are very proud of the excellent services that Henry volunteered for in the past. He was a dedicated member and also was responsible for many repairs and improvements done to our facility over the years. Our condolences go out to Barbara and the entire Pfeiffer family...Henry will be greatly missed!
