My heart is with you all.  Penny was truly an indomitable woman, a rare combination of grace and elegance with hidden strength and fortitude not often found on this earth.

I am so pleased to have been privileged to know her and so sorry for your loss.  I pray that you will all find the strength and support from and for one another, and that you will be sustained by the knowledge that she knew she was loved.

As for her entry into the Kingdom, I like to think that Eddie and my dad will greet her enthusiastically when she reaches "the other side of the veil," as we say in the Orthodox Church.

May God grant her rest in a place of refreshment, where there is no sickness, sighing nor sorrow, where all His blessed Saints repose, and where the light of His countenance shines forever.  May her memory be eternal.
