Joan Green White, 76 of Amelia, Died August 31, 2012. She is survived by her husband Floyd E. White; three sons William Green (Bobbie) of Chesterfield, David Green (Marlene) of Amelia, Jeffrey Green (laura) of Urbanna; brother Kenneth Eaton; Two sisters Fay Davis, Gaynel Johnston all of Chesterfield; five Grandchildren and twelve great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday 5 to 8 pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy (Rt 60) Powhatan, and were services will be held Tuesday 2 pm. Internment Oak Grove Baptist Church.

  Dear Joan:
  I am so sorry to hear of your passing, though I know how much you love the Lord, and how I know you are celebrating now to be with Him, and those who have gone before.  I weep not for you but for those who are here who love you and will miss having you be a part of their lives.  I wish I had been able to see you and hug your neck before your homecoming; but our time is not God's Time; nor are our ways His.  I do pray you know how much I love you, how thankful I am for you through the years, and how you have encouraged me and loved me when I wasn't lovable.  God bless and keep you my dear friend.  I will forever remember you and your beautiful spirit...  Godspeed Joan!  To God be the Glory!  Love never dies.
