Alfred Quinten Parker, Jr.

Alfred Quinten Parker Jr., 79 of Colombia, Va., passed suddenly June 7, 2023. He is

survived by his wife of 59 years, Juanita Parker; daughter Joette Parker Covington,

and son Alfred Quinten Parker III(Nancy); grandchildren Mackenzie Leigh Parker,

Taylor Nicole Parker, Garrett Woods Covington, Lucas McCoy Covington, and Alexander

Quinten Parker.  Quinten retired from Dominion Power in 2009 from the Lake Anna

Nuclear Power Plant. He enjoyed spending time on the family farm in Cartersville. He

was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He was a big fan of the Washington

Nationals Baseball Team and enjoyed watching Fox News. The family will receive friends

Sunday, June 11 at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home from 4PM-6PM. A graveside service

will be held at 1PM Monday, June 12 at Cartersville Cemetery on Route 45 in Cartersville, Va.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cartersville Fire Department.
