Anthony Christopher Hickle

August 26, 1982 — March 21, 2013

Anthony Christopher Hickle, 30, of Richmond, departed this life on March 21, 2013 and has found peace in the loving arms of our Lord. He joins his dad, John N. Hickle; his paternal grandparents, Alva and Macie Crockett and his uncle Earl Hickle, who predeceased him. He is survived by his mom and stepfather, Jeanette and Craig Hatcher of Powhatan; his brother, Andrew Hickle of Richmond; maternal grandparents, Jim and Ernie Hartigan, Sr. of Moneta; uncles, Jim Hartigan, Jr. (Debbie) of Moneta, David Crockett (Donna) of Tangier Island; aunts, Lynne Humphreys (Pete) of Roanoke, Nellie Jones (Tommy) of Crisfield, Md; Betty Hickle of New Market, Tennessee; his faithful canine companion, Chance; numerous cousins; extended family and dear friends. Anthony was a 2001 graduate of the Collegiate School and attended VCU and Universal Technical Institute in Chicago. Anthony possessed a sensitive spirit, kind and passionate soul, a generous and caring heart that all who knew him will cherish forever. His beautiful smile will be carried in our hearts and continue to bring us comfort. He loved cooking, playing guitar, playing golf, spending time with his brother and hanging out with his friends. He will be missed by every life he touched. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 5 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11am at Mount Ivy Christian Church, 5120 Scruggs Road, Moneta, Va. 24121. Interment William Pasley Family Cemetery, Moneta, Va. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Richmond SPCA or charity of choice.
