Anthony Walter Jardine

The good Lord took, Anthony Walter Jardine, Sr, 82, of Powhatan, home on July 25, 2015 under the watchful eye of family. Anthony was preceded in death by his loving mother, Virginia Emory and her husband Preston Emory. Daddy (Anthony) shared many of life's lessons appreciating the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, an ocean breeze, cooking and family gatherings. Some roads were harder to hoe but through it all, he has shown great fortitude, strong character and warm compassion. May our souls be strengthened, our vision clear and success achieved as he leaves us with his final lesson. He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend whose memory we will always carry in our hearts. Survived by his wife of 53 years Luella Lehman Jardine, his daughter Virginia Kay Mobley Cody (Jeffery) and her two sons, Spencer (Cameron) and Jesse, his son Anthony Jr. (Roberta) and his two sons Gage and Sam and daughter Christine; sisters, Edith Botelho, Debbie Ewing (Dale) and many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and caring friends here and in Maui. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11am in St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Powhatan. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anthony's memory to St John Neumann Catholic Church 2480 Batterson Road, Powhatan, VA 23139 or to Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation to aid others suffering from this disease.
