Audrey Smith Fisher

Audrey Jane Smith Fisher, 81, of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away peacefully January 9, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband of 60, years Ralph Crawford Fisher, Jr.; daughters Diane Fisher Jackson and Joyce Fisher Marshall (Darrell); grandchildren Jacob Ayers, Kyle Ayers, Luke Ayers, Lily Marshall, Isabella Marshall, and Coleman Marshall; her brother Ronnie Smith, and her sister Frances Lucado. Audrey was preceded in death by her brother W. Alton Smith and her sister Evelyn S. Goin. Her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren! She loved being in their lives and watching them grow up. She loved tending to flowers and plants, as well as loving on many cats and dogs. Audrey was always ready to take a trip to the beach, no matter the season. She kept busy sewing, quilting, knitting and crocheting, and was a long-time member of the Richmond Quilters Guild and From the Heart, a knitting and crocheting charity group. There wasn't a baby born that didn't receive an afghan or quilt made by her. A Memorial Gathering will be held Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 6:00 PM in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home Chapel, 3215 Anderson Highway. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to the Alzheimers Association or to the ASPCA.
