Bernard Packard "B.P." Smiley, Jr.

Bernard P. "B.P." Smiley, Jr., 70, born March 8, 1948, passed away June 5, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Myrtle Smiley; two children, Theresa Horkey (Chris) of Chesterfield, Bobby Smiley (Bobbie Jo) of Southill; sister, Jane Griffin of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Nash Bennett, Corey Bennett, Taylor Smiley and Gary Horkey. B.P. retired from Wilson Trucking after 47 years of service and was a Vietnam veteran. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan.
