65, of Powhatan, affectionately known as Dinky and Mam, died July 19, 2014. She is survived by her husband Jesse Owens; son Jesse (Jay) Owens Jr. of Powhatan; daughter Jill Owens Edwards (Ben) of Smithfield; mother Jean Daniel of Chesterfield; grandson Cade of Smithfield; brother Gary (Bo) Morrison; sisters Linda Manuel, Sandra Owens, Susie Lynch, Vicki Burr; many neices and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday (tonight) from 6 to 8 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home 3215 Anderson Hwy. ( Rt 60) Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11am at the Powhatan United Methodist Church. Internment Powhatan Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Powhatan United Methodist Church 2253 Rosson rd. Powhatan, Virginia 23139.
