Carl J. Myers, Sr.

Carl J. Myers, Sr., 86 of Chesterfield passed into the loving arms of the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Maggie Mae Myers. He is survived in death by two children, Carl Myers Jr. (Teresa) and Dwayne Myers (Mary); one brother Dwight Myers and one sister Sissy; 5 grandchildren, CJ, III, Justin, Kimberly, Josh, Andrew, Bekah, Bethany, Noah and Hannah; 6 great-grandchildren, CJ IV, Bristol, Jordan, Caiden, Tyler and Wyatt; and many nieces and nephews. Carl was a hardworking man who served our country for 2 years in the United States Army, and afterward took on several jobs such as Central National Bank and Sears simultaneously then retiring from the post office after over 35 years of service. He cherished his family, enjoyed hunting, fishing and football, and was always cracking a good joke. The family is saddened to announce they cannot receive family and friends; however, the immediate family will honor Carl's memory through a graveside service at Dale Memorial Park, Chesterfield, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Carl's home church, Calvary Baptist Church, 10230 Hull Street Road, Midlothian, VA 23112.
