Carol Hancock Jones

Carol Hancock Jones, 69, of Powhatan was reunited with her husband Ronald A. Jones in heaven on Friday, August 25, 2017, following a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her sons, Joseph P. McKesson of Strasburg, OH, and Michael R. Jones (Nichole) of Powhatan. She was a loving and completely devoted Granny to Ryan, Britney, and Bentley Jones. She is also survived by her long-time friend Peggy L. Ball. Upon her retirement from The Department of Information Technology of the State of Virginia, Carol enjoyed spending time doing all of her favorite things; traveling, going to the beach, cooking great food, searching for the best hotdog around, watching The Big Bang Theory, anything on The Food Network, spending time with her countless friends, spoiling her grandkids, getting her hair done, and keeping her yard and house pristine. Carol will be forever missed by everyone that loved her. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Online condolences may be made at bennettbardenfh.com
