Carolyn Clarke Newman

Carolyn Clarke Newman, 80 of Midlothian, VA went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2023.  Our angel was preceded in death by her father - Joseph Clarke, mother - Myrtis Tatum Clarke, brother - J. Dwight Clarke, and sister - India C. Phillips.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years - Coy "CH" Newman Jr., 2 sons - Greg (Catherine) and Michael C. (Deanna), and 3 grandchildren - Savannah, Grant and Leah.

She had wonderful career at Southern States for 29 years; retiring in 2008.  She was an active charter member and officer of the Chesterfield Lions Club.  She was a gracious and loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved church on Sundays, enjoyed working puzzles, visiting friends, family trips, shopping and spending time with her children and grandchildren, and watching her grandkids play sports.  Her favorite music was "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art".

A memorial service will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 9600 Midlothian Turnpike, at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, or to the Chesterfield Prevent Blindness Lions Club, 11318 Poplar Ridge Road, N. Chesterfield, VA 23236.
