Cheryl Lynne Ciejek

Cheryl Lynne Ciejek "Mama Cheryl", 66 of Powhatan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends December 28, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward & Nancy Ciejek, and brother James "Jimmy" Ciejek. She is survived by her 3 children Crystal Duff (Ricky) of Chesterfield, Donna Durrbeck (Bruce) Heathsville, VA, Thomas Morgan (Tamara) of Powhatan; 8 grandchildren, Charles, Brendalynn, Gabriella, Dylan, Richard, Peyton, Charly and Emily, 4 step grandchildren Austin, Krystal, Savannah, Carter who all called her "Gaga", 3 brothers Clarence Hubbard (Donna) Amelia, Gary Hubbard (Kerri) Irvington VA, Dean Ciejek (Janet) Chesterfield who loving often called her "Pearl or Wig". 

Cheryl loved soap operas, gardening, flower arranging, fishing, the beach and spending time with family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Her family will receive visitors Sunday January 7th from 2-4pm Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy Powhatan Va 23139. Where a service will be Monday 8th starting at 11am followed by graveside burial at Old Powhatan Baptist Church, 2202 Old Church Rd Powhatan Va 23139. Followed by reception at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 2480 Batterson Rd Powhatan Va 23139.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Powhatan Animal Control or VCU Massey Cancer Center.
