Clifford Otis "Butch" Blankenship

Clifford Otis "Butch" Blankenship, Jr., 81, of Powhatan, Virginia was born June 17th, 1943, and departed this life to be with our Lord on Friday, November 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford O. Blankenship, Sr. and Louise Chase Blankenship and two sisters, Frances Bennett and Linda Blankenship. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria May Blankenship; two daughters, Cynthia Settle (Greg) and Vicki Pepper (William); one son, Curtis Blankenship (devoted friend, Angela); ten grandchildren, Emily Camerino (Eugene), Joshua Morris (Kerri), Karleigh Weller (Tyler), BB Pepper (Megan), Brady Blankenship (Casey), Abbey Blankenship, Ryan Blankenship, Eric Blankenship, Jacob Blankenship & Aaron Blankenship; 5 great grandchildren; siblings Barbara Jean Merchant (Charles) and Melvin Blankenship. Butch was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a Jack-of-all-trades who accomplished anything that he put his mind to. He was a loyal friend to many and a wonderful family man and he will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 20th from 12 PM to 2:00 PM in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home Powhatan. Also, where services will be held at 2:00 PM

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Powhatan Fire & EMS or any other charity of your choice.
