Colleen Dawson Palmore

Colleen Dawson Palmore, 82, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord and the love of her life, Ellis, with her family by her side on August 18, 2018. She is survived by her children, Robert M. Palmore (Patsy), Linda Cheatham, Janet Trivett (John), David E. Palmore (Jill), Tracey Smith (Rick); one sister, Shirley Lloyd ( Randy) of Amelia; twelve grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Affectionantly known as Nanny, she enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren's events. She loved her God, birds, flowers, angels, square dancing and especially her family and friends. Through her whole life she was active in her church and community. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am in the Hobson's Chapel United Methodist Church, Powhatan. Interment church cemetery.
