Darrell Bruce Butler

Darrell Bruce Butler, 58, born January 18th, 1966, passed into life with our lord April 20th, 2024.

Darrell was a proud resident of Powhatan County, where he graduated from Huguenot Academy in 1984. Darrell's love of the outdoors was surpassed by none. His two biggest passions were hunting and fishing - along with enjoying time with his family. He was a passionate worker who enjoyed staying busy. From his work at Reynold’s Metal, to driving trucks for Frayser & Son Hauling, to managing Powhatan’s Tractor Supply Store for many years - where he eventually retired. His dedication and hard work never went unnoticed. His loving soul will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.

Darrell is survived by his 2 loving children, CJ and Amy; and was adored by his grandson, Luke; along with his 2 siblings, Cathy Wood and Richard Butler, and father, Carroll Bruce Butler. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Merchant Butler.

The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm Tuesday, at Bennett and Barden Funeral Home, where his service will be held 11am Wednesday. Interment will follow in Powhatan Community Cemetery.
