Deborah Anne Yancey

Deborah Anne Yancey, 72, of Farmville, passed away Tuesday October 22,2024 in the presence of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; Murray and Mae Dowdy. She is survived by her Husband Chester "Lee" Yancey; son Michael Yancey and daughter Michelle Yancey. 

Deborah was a school bus driver for Chesterfield County Schools for over 40 years and loved all the children she safely moved over the years. She was avid in equestrian and won many awards and saddles in horseback riding competitions. She was known in the family for her homemade desserts and made-from-scratch cooking.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 25, 2024, from 6-8 PM at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home at 3215 Anderson Hwy. Powhatan VA. 23139. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 1 PM at Grove Church Cemetery, Route 13 Cumberland Va. 23040.
