Diane Riggins Richmond

Diane Riggins Richmond, 79 of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away January 14, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Ruth Riggins; husband, Kenneth Richmond; son, Timothy James Glenn; and step-granddaughter, Danielle Leigh Trevillian. She is survived by her daughters, Leslie Ann Quig and Susan Cavedo (Buddy); grandchildren, Joshua, Brittany; step-grandchildren, Lukas, Amanda and Willie; step-great grandchildren, Cameron, Marshall, Timmy, John, A.J., Daniel, William, Antonio, Marian and Jose; and many extended family members and her wonderful church family. She shared in lives of many other children, Robin Smith, Lisa Emory (Danny), B.G. Wilson (Bonnie), Frances Peirce, Kenneth Richmond, Jr.,  Pamela Sue Richmond, Heather Scott and Katie Emory. A special Thank You, to her step-son, Bruddie (B.G.) Wilson (Bonnie) and caregivers Mike Fitzjarrald, Ela & Reiner Engmann and Gaby whom she thought of as family. Diane was retired from the United States Post Office where she was a supervisor. She was a faithful member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, where she loved to sing in the choir and with friends. She was a wonderful Mom, Grandmother and Friend. Diane loved decorating for any holiday and her love for snowmen made Christmas her favorite. She also enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and planting flowers. She will be missed dearly.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 17, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00PM in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Highway, Powhatan. Services will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Gospel Light Baptist Church, 2109 Anderson Highway, Powhatan. Interment Gospel Light Baptist Church Cemetery.
