Dwayne Edwin Winegard

Dwayne Edwin Winegard, 77 of Powhatan, passed away July 11, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife Lona Grace Winegard and one daughter Cheryl Howie. He is survived by three daughters, Lee Howard (Darryl), Dwayna Winegard, Diann Frank; brother, William Winegard; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Charles, Dakota, Sheena, Shaun, Krystal, Tracy, Tiffany; nine great grandchildren, 3 nieces and many other adopted family.The Vietnam era, Army and Navy, has just lost another member. Sp5/SSG Winegard, Dwayne E. passed this morning after an expected illness. Dwayne started his military service with the Georgia Army National Guard, then a stent in the Navy before joining the Regular Army and becoming a member of the Army’s Navy until he retired after 23 1/2 years. RIP my brother. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan and where services will be held Tuesday at 2 pm.
