Earnest Manley Moore

Earnest Manley Moore 94, of Powhatan, died November 7, 2012. He is survived by one son, Forrest Wayne Moore (Kathy) of Powhatan; two grandsons, Jason A. Moore of Florida and Forrest W. Moore Jr. of Powhatan; four great-granchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Mr. Moore was a WWII army veteran wounded on D-Day at Normandy and received a Purple Heart. The family will receive friends Thursday (tonight) from 6 to 8pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Friday, 2pm in the Holly Hills Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment Old Powhatan Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Awona Club Holly Hills Baptist Church.
