Powhatan

Edward "Ed" Goffinett passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, at the age of 86, with his family at his side in Powhatan, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Minnie and two of his sons, Johnny and Eddie. He is survived by his brother, Gary Goffinett; and niece, Dorothy (Billy); children, Mariana Turgeon (Roger), Michael Goffinett, Bobby Goffinett, Frannie Goffinett and Essy Goffinett; (8) grandchildren and (8) great grandchildren.

Dad was a die-hard Broncos fan, loved to dance, fish, golf and spending time with his family. He was very proud of the fact that he was retired longer than years that he worked. He spent many miles on the road in his RV driving throughout the country visiting family. He was the best breakfast cook taking individual egg orders for everyone. He will be greatly missed but we know that he is now he is reunited in heaven with the love of his life Minnie. We especially want to thank Cindy Clark for being by his side in San Benito, Texas these last few years.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2480 Batterson Road, Powhatan, VA 23139. Immediately followed by a reception at Roger and Mariana's home: 2355 Graceland Drive, Powhatan, VA 23139.
