Edward Carver “Pudgy” Pembelton, 79, of Richmond, VA went peacefully to be with the Lord, January 29, 2025. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Hensley Pembelton; his parents, Raymond E. Pembelton and Alva Hazel Horton Pembelton; two brothers, James Otis Pembelton and Raymond Thomas Pembelton. He is survived by his only sister, Jean Caryl Pembelton Weatherford (Bobby); numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his two doggies, Annie and Janie.
After many years of service as a mechanic for McLean Trucking Company, Pudgy worked for B & J Steel Construction as a crane operator.
Pudgy loved auto racing, gardening and socializing with family and friends. His legacy of love, laughter and dedication will forever resonate in the lives that he touched.
The family would like to extend their appreciation for the love and care of Pudgy to The Pearl at Walkins Centre, A Touch of Grace Hospice, and Graceland Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Graceland Baptist Church, 975 Dorset Road, Powhatan, VA 23139.
