Edward Timothy Baldwin

Born May 14 1945- Died December 12, 2018

Tim began his life in Cumberland, Virginia as the 3rd child and first boy from parents Edward Joseph Baldwin and Mary Roush Baldwin. Tim was raised on a tobacco farm as the son of a sawyer. As a child, he enjoyed hunting, mechanics, and helping his father. In 1965, Tim married the love of his life, Susan Irving, of Cartersville VA, and soon after they moved to Richmond VA. The following year, the young couple gave birth to and lost their first son, Kenneth Alan, at a time when few tools were available to help little ones. As a young husband, Tim was employed as a heating oil delivery driver and technician, warehouse clerk, and fleet mechanic.
But, in 1969, after the birth of their second son, Tim began his life career, of working with concrete swimming pools. Along the way, their only daughter, Sara Michelle, was born in 1977. Soon to follow, Tim and Susan became self employed, building custom concrete swimming pools, spanning from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to Loudon County, in Northern Virginia. Eventually this career was taught to their children, that continue to work on pools today.

Tim enjoyed a wide range of mechanical hobbies, developing the mark of a craftsman. He built his own home, shops, pool, livestock barn, go-kart racing track, and tractor pulling track with the sled. Tim could be seen driving the cars, go-karts, motorcycles, ATV's, boats, and garden pulling tractors that he built or modified. He also enjoyed helping his daughter Sara with barrel racing quarter horses all in the same summer.

Tim dedicated his life to Jehovah in 1975, and soon after volunteering as a ministerial servant and a construction worker on many Kingdom Halls around Virginia, at various times over a 30 year period. Tim valued the Bible principles of sticking to your wife, training your children, sharing your skills and time with others. He had firm faith, that in God's Kingdom, Christ will resurrect him and so many others to a paradise earth. Tim bravely fought chronic illness for over 10 years, succumbing to a brief, intense lung infection. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susan Irving Baldwin, son David ( children-Seth and Mychaela), daughter Sara ( husband Robbie Dotson and children Sydney, Nathan, Josie, and Rachael), and four siblings, Marian Baldwin Irving (husband Paul), Violet Baldwin McClintock ( husband Wade), Thomas Henry Baldwin( Annette), and Lovena Baldwin Rapole.
