Ellen Kay Morris Knabe

Ellen Kay Morris Knabe, 72, a lifelong resident of Powhatan, was called home after a short illness on August 25, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Helen Morris, also of Powhatan.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 33 years, Wayne Knabe; daughter, Cassie Stewart; step-son, Phil Knabe (Mary); her preciouse grandson, Phillip Knabe; brother, Wayne Morris and his children; many other relatives and friends.
She retired from Bon Air Correctional Center. In her spare time she loved working outside in her flower garden, taking long walks and visit's with family and friends. She cherished her family above all else. She loved the color pink, rabbits and life in general. Ellen was a member of Genito Presbyterian Church where she worked with the choir. She cared so much about everyone and was always willing to help where she could. Her smile was contagious and heartfelt.
The family will receive friends on Monday August 28th, 2023 from 2:00-3:00 PM in the Genito Presbyterian Church where a service will be held at 3:00 pm. Interment in Church cemetery.
