Emma "Joyce" Willis Cashion (also known as Sister) of Chesterfield, age 91, passed away on April 23, 2024. She will forever be remembered for her strength, independence and make-do attitude. She was a devoted Mom, Grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed gardening, raising chickens and goats. She retired from Reynolds Metal and enjoyed retirement with her grandchildren, exercising and taking classes.
She was preceded in death by her husband H. Douglas Cashion, son Mark Cashion, 6 brothers and her twin sister. She is survived by 6 children; Margaret Cashion-Hudson (Lee), Cecil Cashion, Bruce Cashion (Jenny), Kendall Riggan (Bill), Kristie Cashion-Aycock, Jill Palmore (David); 9 grandchildren: Hope Van Derostyne, Brett Cashion, Lindsay Lane, Collins Riggan, Luke Aycock, Joey Aycock, Chase Cashion, Corey Palmore and Brandon Palmore; 1 great grandchild: Noah Lane; 2 brothers: Fred Willis and Frank Willis; numerous nephews and nieces including Judy Daniel.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 28th from 2 - 4 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, Powhatan, Va. A memorial service to honor her life will be held Monday, April 29th at 12 pm at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Dale Memorial Park in Chesterfield, Va.
