Erik Daniel Packard, age 59, of Amelia County, Virginia, passed away on December 10, 2024. Born on April 1, 1965, in Chesterfield, Virginia, he was a devoted husband, father, and brother.
Erik worked in heating and air conditioning, with his career spanning from business ownership to commercial and residential work. He dedicated his energy to helping families and businesses, while teaching others his craft.
Erik devoted decades of his life to spreading his passion for the game of softball, inspiring and mentoring countless young women, leaving a lasting impact on their lives both on and off the field. When he wasn't on the softball field, you could find Erik hard at work, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his wife and children.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 5 years, Brittany; his children, Sami, Alex, Carter, and Dawson; his brother, Billy (Kim); his sisters, Melody (Ken), Kathy (David) and Becca (John) and many friends that he considered his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Izzy Packard.
Erik will be remembered for his witty and sarcastic humor, his love of family, and positive impact on everyone who crossed his path.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to either Carter and Dawson's college tuition funds or Powhatan Youth Athletic Association Fastpitch Softball in honor of Erik's memory. Your support is greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
A trust fund is being started for Carter & Dawson, for information on how to donate to the trust, please contact Brittany Packard.
