Ernest Nelson Llewellyn, Sr. (Lew), 80, of Powhatan, Virginia, was called home by Jesus on Saturday, December 21, 2024. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Lew was a pillar of his community and will be remembered with deep love and gratitude.
Lew was best known as the owner of Llewellyn’s Towing and Repair, a business he started nearly 45 years ago with his beloved wife, Patsy, his partner in life and work for 62 wonderful years. Patsy preceded him in death in 2021, and though his family will miss him greatly, they rejoice in knowing that he and Patsy are now reunited in Heaven.
He is survived by his four children, Ernie Llewellyn (Candy), Mark Llewellyn (Kim), Penny Henry (Gordon), and Tim Llewellyn (Cathy); three grandchildren, Joseph Drudge (Eve), Kevin Llewellyn (Emily), and Ashley Mast (Conrad); and four great-grandchildren, Adalyn Llewellyn, Clara Llewellyn, C.J. Mast, and Caleb Wells. His legacy of love, faith, and perseverance will live on through his family and all who knew him.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 26, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, Powhatan, Virginia. A home-going celebration will take place on Friday, December 27, at 2:00 PM at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Powhatan. Online condolences may be shared at bennettbardenfh.com.
