Esther Russell Simpson

Esther Russell Simpson, age 83, Powhatan Va, formerly of Charlotte, N.C., was called to her heavenly home on January 21, 2022. Predeceased by her parents Melvin and Hazel Russell and her son Frank G. Simpson. Survived by daughter in-law Becky Boyles - Simpson and grandson John (JP) Simpson of the home (Powhatan); sister -Dianne and (James) Montgomery of Charlotte, NC; nieces, Kim and (Bobby) Remson of Murrells Inlet, SC, Robbie and Tiffany, Michelle and (JR) Clavijo of Mint Hill, NC, Connor and Kyle and
Jennifer Montgomery of Charlotte, NC.
She loved the beach and lived in Conway South Carolina for many years and retired from Coastal Carolina University as a campus police dispatcher. Esther loved her family fiercely and was known as CiCi to her grandson who brought her great joy. She was an excellent seamstress, loved to shop for a good bargain and never passed on a good cup of coffee. She loved any and all animals and had a weakness for strays. She had many "fur babies" throughout her life and dearly loved her cats. She will be remembered for the love and kindness she displayed to her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
