Ethel K. Denton

Ethel K. Denton, 89, of Cumberland, passed away February 15, 2016. She is survived by her husband, A. David Denton; two daughters, Sheree Denton, Alice Haglaund; son, Alan Strbavy; two sisters, Willie Wagner, Bertha Daughter; two brothers, Robert Wise, Joe Wise; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Denton was the founder of Girl Scout Troop 126 in Va. Beach, and a member of Cumberland Red Hats. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11am Saturday in the Thomas Chapel United Methodist Church, 1313 Cartersville Rd. Cumberland and where funeral services will follow at 11am. Interment church cemetery. The family wishes to make a special thank-you to Centra Hospice of Farmville, Denise Thompson her family and Lee Poor for all their care.
