Evelyn "Vickie" Skalsky

Evelyn "Vickie" Skalsky, 81 of Powhatan, Virginia, passed away November 28, 2022. 

She is survived by her husband of 50 yrs., Joseph Skalsky, Jr.; children, Pattie Stabley (Ben) and Joseph William Donahay (Tammy); grandchildren, Melissa Bragg (Joseph), LB Stabley, Katelynn Donahay, Lindsey Turner (Chase), Correy Stabley, Calista White (Benjamin); great grandchildren, Victoria Bragg, Caleb Bragg, Logan Bragg, Aveleen Bragg and Jasper Bragg; sister, Patsy Ann Gorman (Robert). Vickie was a mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. 

She enjoyed painting for many years as well as reading. One of her greatest joys was Sunday afternoon drives and various travels abroad. She took pride in her many years of work with the International Mission Board and loved serving with the WMU at Red Lane Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 1st, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, Powhatan, VA. Her services will be held Friday, December 2nd, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Red Lane Baptist Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
