Fannie Estelle Allen Sumner, widow of Clifton Ross Sumner, Sr., 94 of Powhatan, passed away April 30, 2020. Born Feb. 25, 1926 to the late Tom and Susie Allen. She was the last surviving child of eleven children. So she was preceded in death by her siblings; Bessie, Tommy, Nannie, Arthur, Mark, James, Walter, Mary Jane, Ruth and Jack. She is survived by her children; Barbara Hughes (Warren) of Powhatan and Clifton Sumner, Jr. (Mollie) of Texas; grandchildren, Susan Shrode (Kerry), Chris Hughes (Sharon), Mary Jane Hawkins (Erik), Jennifer Decker (Raymond); great-grandchildren, Samantha Ellison (Brandon), Ian Jeffrey, Clifton Hughes, Abigail Hughes, Anya Hawkins, Luke Hawkins, Ainsley Hawkins, Amanda George, Zack Decker (Bryn), Joshua Decker. Paige Decker. She was also preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Estelle Jeffrey. Services will be private. Online condolences may be made at bennettbardenfh.com
