Frankie Tate Moore, 83, of Powhatan, widow of Wayne W. Moore, passed away February 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents; Robert Henry and Mattie Workman Tate; granddaughter, Michelle Nolen; siblings, Lettie Allison, Robert Tate, Jr., Lillan Oakley, Belle Poole, Laurie Bowman, Hazel Hargis, Nell Gentry, Herman Tate, Hal Tate, Billy Tate, Patsy Jolly. She is survived by her daughters, Terry M. Nolen (Paul), Wanda K. Long (Christopher) both of Powhatan; five grandchildren, Monica L. Gore (Greg), Wesley E. Nolen, Sr., Savannah A. Jessie, Bethany M. Austin (Robert), Jake Long; eight great grandchildren, Kayla M. Good, Wayne F. White, Trey Jessie, III, Wes Nolen, Jr., Fox D. Nolen, Dylan Austin, Alyssa K. Long, Ayden K. Long; one brother, Hurley Tate of N.C.; many nieces and nephews. Frankie was a long time employee of Ukrops, affectionately known as "Grandma" to her co-workers. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. in the New Harvest Assembly of God Church, 3931 Old Buckingham Rd. Powhatan, followed with a funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery.
