Franklin Delano Berry

Franklin "Frank" Delano Berry, 90, of Richmond, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024. Born on April 4, 1934, in the mountains of Summers County, West Virginia, he was the son of Clarence and Mamie Berry. A printer by trade, he retired from Westvaco in 1999. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen V. Berry; and brother, Ellis C. Berry. He is survived by three loving sisters, Janet Adkins (Dickie); Phyllis Carter; and Carleta Shortridge; Son, Dean Berry (Lesa); and daughter, Barbara Reyes (Emiliano); Nephew, Greg Adkins; Niece, Amanda Hunter; Four grandchildren, Bradley Berry (Tess); Joshua Spain, Katie Berry-Boatwright (Casey), and Ricardo Reyes (Allie); Two great-grandsons, Gus Berry and Gabriel Reyes. He is also survived by many cousins, friends, and a special aunt, Ruth McClure. The family will receive friends at noon on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy, in Powhatan, Virginia, where a funeral ceremony will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Powhatan Community Cemetery, 3938 Old buckingham Road (VA-13), Powhatan, Virginia.
