Garnet R. Johnson, Sr.

Garnet R. Johnson, Sr. of Powhatan, died April 29, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Marie Johnson; ten children, Garnet Johnson, Jr., Betty Johnson, Sharon Rolle (Bradley), Bruce Johnson, Kirk Johnson (Denise), Florence Cutler (Victor), Elizabeth Forsythe, Sharon Colon, Laurell Brault (Fred), Linda Jordon (Fred); fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two step children, Marie Majdalawi, Pierre Poulard and a special friend Jeff Rapoli. Garnet loved fishing, hunting and the N.Y. Mets. The family will receive friends Friday from 10am to 1:30pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2pm in the Powhatan Community Cemetery.
