George W. Settle, III

Settle, III, George W., 88, of Powhatan, left this life April 12, 2012, for his new life with his lord. George was a patriot and loved his country. He served in the Navy during World War II as a radio man aboard ships supplying the troops. He was predeceased by his father, George W., Jr. and mother, Katherine B. Settle. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann O'Donnell and husband of Melbourne, Florida, Nancy S. Clements, her children and grandchildren all of Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan and where funeral services will be held Monday 11 am. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery.
