Gerald P. Simmons

Gerald P. Simmons, 87, of Powhatan, went to be with the Lord November 29, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Joyce S. Simmons; two daughters, Karen Lynn Newman of Standersville, Kay Turnbull of Boydton; one step-son, Craig Bowles of Georgia; two brothers, Emmett B. Simmons, Jr. of Broadnax, Samuel L. Simmons of South Hill; two sisters, Janet Farmer of Georgia, Linda Ebbert of Colonial Heights; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 7pm Thursday December 8 in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan.
