Gladys Lorraine (Lori) Salle'

October 3, 1962 — July 12, 2022

Gladys Lorraine (Lori) Salle' has gone home to glory. She departed this life
on July 12, 2022. She was born on October 3,1962 to Rufus (Lucky) E.
Nolen and Gladys B. Nolen. She was preceded in death by her parents whom
she loved very much.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Jewel Pearson; brothers, Lee Nolen, Paul Nolen (Terry), Mark Nolen (Donna); and her sisters Ruby Burkholder (David), Ruth Hughes (Dean); 3 nieces and 4 nephews; and her large and loving Courthouse church of Christ family,.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, one niece and one nephew. She was also
predeceased by her loving little companion, "Sweetie." Sweetie passed away on 9/7/21,
leaving Lori heartbroken.

Lori worked 25 years in the construction business. Prior to that she worked in the
restaurant business. When she worked in the construction business, she was the
ditch person and loved tying steel rebar. Unfortunately, the construction job led to her health issues
later in life. She suffered for the past eight years with COPD, but she never complained!

Lori's biggest pleasure in life was worshipping God. She loved buying Bibles and giving
them away. She loved making "Bible Bags" and giving them away. She loved sending
Bibles to the saints overseas through Scott Tope and Chad Brewer. She loved supporting the
truth being preached all over the world.

Lori loved God! She loved everybody, especially her brethren at Courthouse. She was an
active member of Courthouse church of Christ.

Lori enjoyed sending notes and cards. She was such an inspiration to all, always cheerful,
always uncomplaining, always thinking of others and doing her bit to spread the gospel.
She loved all animals. She also enjoyed shooting sporting clays before she got sick.
She even won first place in a state championship along with many other awards.

When Lori became housebound, she would listen to sermons and acapella hymns on her laptop.
At night, she would listen to her little audio bible when she would wake up in the night and unable to sleep.

Lori wanted to thank her cardiologist, Dr. Jiho Han, for his exceptional love and care throughout the past eight years.

Lori also wanted to especially thank her caregivers--her devoted sister, Ruth Hughes,
who selflessly lived with her for the past four years, sister Ruby Burkholder and her dear
brother-in-law and best friend, David Burkholder, who lovingly cared for her for the past year.

Lori will be greatly missed by many--she will never know how many lives she has touched!
