Gracie Woodcock Stroud

Gracie Woodcock Stroud, 93 of Powhatan, Virginia, departed this life on April 1, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband Allie Dewey Stroud; son, Bobby Ray Stroud; brothers, Everett, Norman, Stanley and John Woodcock; sisters, Glenis Jennings and Irene McCann.
She is survived by her loving and caring son, Durwood Stroud (Dru); devoted daughter, Sandra DiRemiggio (Al); daughter in law, Jan Stroud; seven grandchildren, Tracy Allen (Rodney), Brian Stroud, Lisa Goolsby (Bobby), Kristy Miller (Mike), Kevin Stroud (Peggy), Robbie Stroud (Jenny), Jason Stroud (Nicole); 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. 
She loved her family and her wonderful friend Peggy Pfeiffer. She retired from DuPont Spruance plant. Gracie loved to shop and was an extremely giving person. She was a woman of faith and compassion, she will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home. A services will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 am in the 5 Stone Church, 2480 Academy Road, Powhatan. Interment 5 Stone Church Cemetery.
