Helen Peyton Bowles

Helen Peyton Bowles, 87, of Cartersville, widow of Russell Bowles, went to be with our Lord Jesus on June 18, 2013. She devoted her life to Christ and her family. She is survived by her children, Russell Lewis Bowles, Gladys Preas (Noland), Catherine Kirkland (James), Frances Lawson, Judy Lawson (Phil), Joyce Davila (Oscar); grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson and special friends. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, James "Doc" Lawson. The family will receive friends at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan from 5 to 8 pm Thursday. A graveside service will be held 11 am Friday in the Fork of Willis Church Cemetery, Cumberland. Memorial contributions be made to the Cartersville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
