Hilda Pembelton Wright

Hilda Louise Pembelton Wright, age 85, of Chesterfield, VA, went to be with her Lord on November 10, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Ruby Pembelton, and her husband, Steve Wright. She is survived by her son, Tim (Barbi) Wright, and granddaughter, Lydia Wright, all of Powhatan, VA, along with her sister, Deretha (Ernest) Norman of Amelia, VA, her nephew Len (Amy) Norman, and grandnephews, Jack and William Norman, all of Midlothian, VA.

Hilda was born and raised in Amelia, VA and was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church. Hilda and Steve were married at Sandy Creek and lived most of their years as a family in Chesterfield, where Hilda made many life-long friends and enjoyed her life as a homemaker.

Special thanks goes to all of the wonderful Reminiscence staff at Sunrise of Bon Air, where Hilda spent the last difficult years of her life. Their kindness, love, and support will always be appreciated.

A graveside service for Hilda will be held at Sandy Creek Baptist Church at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 20, 2022. In lieu of flowers, tax deductible donations can be made in Hilda’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
