James Hiram Partridge

James "Jim" Hiram Partridge, 83 of Powhatan, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 11, 2023. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Miller Partridge; parents, Kenneth Partridge and Joyce Dailey; Brother Jake Partridge (Florence) sisters, Fran Mann (Jack) and Susie Partridge (John).  He is survived by his loving wife Bunny H. Partridge; sons, Vern E. Miller (Susan), Bruce J. Partridge (Amy), James L. Partridge (Linda), and Scott H. Partridge (Heather); step-son, Jay Franklin (Janie); step-daughter, Mandy Davenport (Bubba); grandchildren, Scott Partridge, Jr., Amber Rose Partridge, John Partridge, Miranda Partridge, Kinsley Partridge; step-grandchildren, Armand Masters (Gwen), Ryan B. Chilton and Hannah N. Chilton. Jim is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.  Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 22 years as a Chief Warrant Officer. He is also a retiree of Dominion Energy. His passion for life was teaching firefighting skills to men and women. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving hunting and fishing. He loved the Lord Jesus supremely and his church family. He enjoyed giving everyone a gospel tract whether in the hospital, doctor's office, or wherever he went.  Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to Powhatan Fire & Rescue Service or Cumberland Fire & Rescue & Service. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at 10 AM at Passion Community Church, 4480 Anderson Hwy, 23139.
