Jerry A. Clay

Jerry A. Clay, 71, of Powhatan, departed this life December 10, 2012. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Bessie Clay; daughters, Lisa Parks (Tim) and Lois Vogle; brother, John Clay; sister, Susan Davis; grandchildren, Taylor and Sarah Parks. He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Cuban Missile Crisis and retired from DuPont after 27 years of service. He fought a very courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 pm Thursday in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan with a funeral service following at 2:30 pm. Interment Powhatan Community Cemetery.
