Our beloved son, Joshua Zachary Edwards, passed away at his home in Chesterfield, VA on July 15, 2020. He was born in Lancaster, PA on March 17, 2000. He spent his first years in Richmond, VA and loved to read and climb trees, laugh and be with friends. At age nine, he moved with his family to Iraq for the next eight years where he had friends from around the world. While there, he learned Arabic and achieved the level of Life Scout in the first Boy Scout troop in Iraq. He spent his summers back in the US with the cousins he loved. In 11th grade, he returned to Chesterfield, VA where he completed high school at Richmond Christian School. He thrived in art class and played varsity football in his senior year. Since graduating, Joshua had been working full time and enjoying the natural beauty of the Richmond area through hiking, sports, and nature photography with his friends.
All who knew Joshua enjoyed his genuine smile, his generosity, and his playful sense of humor. Our dear son was friendly, fun-loving, energetic, and kind. Words cannot express how he will be missed.
He is survived by his loving mother, Christine Edwards, his adoring father, Christopher Edwards, his doting grandmother, Sherry Edwards, and his devoted grandfather, Stuart Edwards. His faithful aunts and uncles were Brett and Lori Edwards, Erik and Becky Edwards, Jonathan and Janthi Webster, Jeff and Jennifer Cleveland, and Matthew and Lina Webster. The cousins he cherished include Alex, Marta, Hunter, Tiffany, Ellie, Miriam, Jonathan, Hannah, Cody, Christina, Charlotte, Samuel, Noah, Caleb, Jacob, Cody, and Susy.
