Judy Overstreet Mertsch, 69, of Powhatan, died October 7, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Gerhard Mertsch; daughter, Stephanie Mertsch (Craig); sons, Johnny Mertsch (Tracy) of Henrico, Karl Mertsch (Lisa) of Midlothian; sisters, Laura Jessee of Williamsburg, Betty Dawson of Midlothian, Lil Price of Prince George, Phyllis Newton of Amelia, Linda Hicks of North Carolina; grandchildren, Maddie, Alex, Austin, Tanner, Evan; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11am in the Red Lane Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment church cemetery. Online condolences may be made at bennettbardenfh.com
