Ken Ray Bates

Ken R. 66, of Cumberland, passed away March 29, 2016. He is survived by his wife Betty A. Bates; two step children, Leslie Lee of Colonial Heights and Russell Johnson of Washington; one sister Diane Austin of Clover; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one brother Addison Bates; two sisters Laline Atkins and Brenda Powell. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan and where services will be held Friday 1:30 pm.
