Kenneth Elbert NeSmith

85, of Powhatan departed this life on January 14, 2016. He was the last surviving child of George M. & Nora F. NeSmith of Ochlocknee, GA. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Ann Dow NeSmith; son K. Lee NeSmith; daughter Susie N. Bucher, (Rick); Grandchildren Megan Bartlett (Josh), Mark NeSmith (Katherine); two great grandsons Liam, Hayden and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Laura N. Powell. He was a long time employee of Martin Chevrolet and a member of Hobson's Chapel UMC. The family will receive friends Sunday 2pm to 4pm in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt 60) Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Monday 11am in Hobson's Chapel UMC, Powhatan. Interment 2pm Powhatan Community Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hobson's Chapel UMC, Powhatan.
