Born on June 27, 1947, in Virginia, he was the treasured son of the late Leola Mae Hensley Franklin and Joseph Charles Franklin. Kenneth retired from Bass Construction as a Superintendent after over 24 years. In his later years, he took immense pride in working as the shop foreman for Eagle Medical Transports & LifeCare Medical Transports, contributing his vast experience and wisdom.
His voluntary service spanned over 40 years with the Powhatan County Fire Department - Macon District Volunteer Station #3 and the Powhatan Volunteer Rescue Squad, showcasing his dedication to community service.
Kenneth was a loving husband, an amazing father, a mentor, and a friend to many. He found great joy in spending time with his children, grandchildren, fishing with his nephews, watching professional wrestling, and working on small engines. His humor and wit were as endearing as his advice, often reminding us to "stay out of trouble (or at least don't get caught)," a classic expression of his.
Kenneth's legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will forever resonate in the lives of those he touched. He will be profoundly missed but eternally remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.
