Kenneth Lee Mittendorff, 77 of Manakin Sabot, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Mittendorff; sons, Kenny & Megan Mittendorff and Carl & Mariellyn Mittendorff; granddaughter, Lainey; brothers, Bob Mittendorff, Stan Mittendorff and Dan Mittendorff.
Ken graduated from the University of Virginia (UVA), where he earned a degree in Aerospace Engineering and participated in the ROTC program. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Air Force, embodying a spirit of dedication and service. Later, Ken pursued further education, earning an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
A dedicated professional, Ken spent 42 years at the Supreme Court of Virginia, where he was known for his hard work, integrity, and leadership. Beyond his career, Ken was passionate about traveling with his wife in their camper trailer and he could often be found with his German shepherds by his side.
Ken had a generous spirit and an unwavering commitment to his community. He was actively involved in Hebron Presbyterian Church in Manakin-Sabot, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. His family and friends will remember him for his warmth, generosity, and the life lessons he so effortlessly imparted.
Ken’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
