Luther Edwin Davis, Sr.

Luther Edwin Davis, 85, of Cumberland, Va., passed onto the other side February 28, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Richmond, Va. Born Sept. 8, 1931 in Fluvanna County, Va. to a large family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim; sisters, Annie, Garnett, Elizabeth, Emma, Dorothy, Virginia and a beloved wife Audrey. He is survived by a loving wife, Diane C. Davis; two sons, Luther, Jr. "Eddie", Steven; devoted daughter, Angie all of Maryland; stepchildren, Michael Marion(Jamie), Beth Anne Czeizinger (Brandon) both of Cumberland; in laws, Ann Greenstreet of Cumberland, Va, Nelson Clowdis of Hagerstown, Md.; many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews to cherish his memory and was known as Pappaw and PaPa to fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy.(Rt.60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11am in the Barber Funeral Home, Laytonsville, Md. Interment Park Lawn Memorial Park, Rockville, Md.
